ONKO – Amino Acid Cocktail

Amino acids are organic compounds characterized by both acidic and amino properties. They consist of both a carboxyl group and an amino group (nitrogen compounds). Many amino acids together form proteins, which are essential components of every living cell. Over 20 different amino acids are involved in protein formation. Many of them also participate in metabolic processes.

Description

The human body absorbs amino acids from dietary proteins, which are then hydrolyzed and broken down by enzymes in the body. Of all the amino acids, there are 8 that the body does not produce on its own. These are called essential amino acids – phenylalanine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. These amino acids must be included in the diet. If any of them are lacking, the synthesis of necessary proteins becomes impossible.

In many diseases and metabolic disorders, there is accelerated breakdown of proteins or impaired absorption of amino acids. Over time, this leads to a deficiency of certain amino acids that need to be compensated for. For this purpose, infusions containing various amino acids are produced. Some of them are specially designed for the needs of cancer patients.

Oncology amino acid infusion is beneficial for patients after radiation or chemotherapy to facilitate the body’s recovery processes.

The composition of oncology amino acids includes:

  • L-aspartic acid;
  • L-leucine;
  • L-lysine;
  • L-isoleucine;
  • L-valine;
  • Taurine;
  • L-glycine;
  • L-carnitine;
  • Acetyltyrosine;

These are 100 ml bottles, which should be diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution to 250–500 ml before intravenous infusion.
